most of halajapan's clients arrive through travel advisors and family offices who read the website alone before recommending the agency to a family. the site had one job: survive that quiet five-minute check. two constraints made it hard. japan's travel agency act controls what an agency may claim, so no word could overpromise. and the audience reads arabic, so the site had to work fully right to left, not as a translation bolted on later. the brief: build the brand, two full bilingual sites, and the systems that keep them honest.

process

  1. reframe the site: treated the website as a credential, not a sales funnel, and fixed six problems in the brief first.
  2. build arabic from day one: a full arabic site mirrored right to left, with a code rule that bans 'left' and 'right' so it can't break.
  3. enforce the law in code: twelve rules block any build with a missing legal footer, a banned claim, or pricing language.
  4. build the trip planner: a six-step planner that lets a family shape their journey and sends it to the desk or straight to whatsapp.
  5. optimize for ai search (aeo/geo): structured data and an llms.txt brief so google and ai assistants can read and recommend the agency with no javascript.
  6. run it from one place: a private admin area for trip plans and advisor requests, with status tabs, notes, search, and export.
